CDI Global Italy Advises Wide Group Spa on Acquisition of Alliance Risk and Insurance Broker Spa

Chicago, IL USA, Milan, Italy (May 18, 2021) – CDI Global Italy is pleased to announce they have successfully completed a buy-side transaction on behalf of Wide Group Spa to acquire the insurance branch of Alliance Risk and Insurance Broker Spa (ARIB).

Wide Group, with this acquisition, continues its pattern of growth which began in 2016, the year the company was founded by three historic insurance brokers. Since that time, Wide Group has acquired five other insurance brokerage realties and anticipates a turnover of 15 million in 2021.

CDI Global Italy was tasked with searching for independent brokers to acquire and to integrate into Wide Group’s fintech system which is based on a cloud model for the operational management of brokerage on three digital platforms:

• "Wide Placement Platform": Dedicated to the broker for the complete management of the life cycle of insurance policies available.
• "MyWide": For quoting and issuing insurance products exclusive to Wide Group. Includes dedicated customer area to access insurance profile, make payments, and access files and claim status.  
• "WideAPP": The application for the mobile management of personal insurance position and the guided opening of a claim.

The strategic plan pursued by the founding partners aims at exploiting the digitalization of systems and the optimization of insurance brokerage processes, in order to offer a unique and innovative service based on an operating model developed by a broker for other brokers, unique in the market.

The plan is to continue to aggregate brokers, both widening the product range and covering the Italian territory, before approaching other European Markets. CDI Global will play a continued role to support the Company in its expansion.
