CDI Global announces new initiative: CDI Space & Technology

CDI Global Boca Raton Office is pleased to announce the launch of a new initiative “CDI Space & Technology” within CDI Global’s Aerospace & Defense Group, designed to leverage its geographic location to the Florida Space Coast and its existing space industry and government partnerships.

Tuesday November 8, 2022, CDI Partner Brian Sommer introduced CDI Space & Technology when he spoke to 250 people from leading space companies and members at The National Space Club Florida’s November luncheon in Cape Canaveral Florida.

Brian was joined by former United States Air Force and Space Force Contractor in presenting “The Business of Space” which focused on the necessary collaboration between the commercial, government and academia for moving the space industry forward.

CDI Space & Technology is well positioned to take advantage of the many opportunities in the aerospace industry where companies can leverage CDI Space & Technology capabilities in collaborations, growth strategies, and buy & builds, and exit strategies.

The Space Coast, located 50 miles east of Orlando Florida on the Atlantic Ocean, is home to both Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and The Kennedy Space Center.  It is also a national and global leader in the aerospace industry, contributing more than $20 billion to the Florida economy each year. Area businesses include electronics, telecommunications, security, defense, materials, propulsion and other related technologies, areas where CDI Global has successfully performed acquisitions and divestitures over its 49 years of operation.

Florida also ranks second in the U.S. with more than 17,000 aerospace-related companies such as Lockheed Martin, Boeing, L3 Harris, Northrop Grumman, Embraer, United Launch Alliance, SpaceX, and Blue Origin.  During 2021, 135 successful orbital launches were made at the Space Coast; and 2022 has been a similarly active period for launches.
