Experience & Qualifications

Managing partner of CDI Global Iberia since 2004. More than 20 years experience in the area of mergers and acquisitions, developed in Spain, United Kingdom and United States. He previously worked at Lehman Brothers (NY and London), The Boston Consulting Group (Madrid) and ICEX (Washington commercial office). During his career he has worked in numerous M&A mandates in different industries, with a concentration in the healthcare/biotech and IT sectors. Some of the clients with whom Carmelo has worked in the healthcare space include Teva Pharmaceuticals, Neoprobe, Interventional Technologies, King Pharma, Genosa or Phytogen.

 

Carmelo is currently a board member of: 1) biotech company Genosa, 2) auxiliary construction company Estructuras Burton and investment company 3)  Key Capital.

 

He is also a professor of corporate finance at the Centro de Estudios Garrigues and the Economists Association of Madrid. He speaks English and German fluently.

 

Carmelo holds a degree in Business Administration from ICADE (’92) and an MBA from Columbia Business School (’97)
