Larry Ciancia is a former partner of CDI Global and is based in the USA. He holds a B.S. degree in civil engineering from Rutgers University (New Jersey), an M.B.A. degree from Hofstra University (New York), and Executive Degrees from Harvard University (PMD) and IMD, Switzerland. Larry has been with CDI Global for over 20 years and he joined CDI from Uponor ETI where he was President; prior to that he was the CEO & President of Concorde Industries and Vice President of the Pipe Division of Johns-Manville Corporation. He concentrates on transactions in plastics, software, and hardware, pipe and fittings and civil engineering. He is also on the Board of Directors of CTS Corp. (NYSE) an electronics components and EMS company manufacturing and selling worldwide.

Jan Jarne

Jan Jarne initiated a 20-year career in banking in New York, and subsequently joined Latin America’s leading regional consortium bank headquartered in London. Later he was Director and Head of International Department of Banco Itau, largest bank of Latin America.
In 1989, Jan co-founded Brazil’s second largest trading company, which made strategic acquisitions in mining and metals companies, and was interim CFO in the development stage of the second largest manganese mine of Brazil. The group also invested in a 240MW power plant project, which was Brazil’s first private concession granted to a consortium of self-producers. He participated in the competitive bidding process for Usiminas steel mill, which was the first major state company auctioned under the Brazilian Privatization Program. In 1996, he founded a business development and a corporate finance boutique in Brazil with focus on M&A, financial structuring, and Private Equity investment advisory. His achievements includes the country’s largest bankruptcy reorganization of Varig legacy airline. He has been with CDI Global since 1999.

Pieter Looringh van Beeck

Pieter Looringh van Beeck is Partner at CDI Global Australia.
Pieter runs the Melbourne office and has been with CDI for over 26 years. His language skills include – English – Dutch – Afrikaans – Swazi. Pieter holds a BsC in Electrical Engineering. Prior to joining CDI Global Pieter was with Engitec Pacific and earlier with Normandy Mining and Anglo/De Beers. His work with CDI involves transactions in manufacturing, chemicals, food products, agriculture, automotive, mining, construction and paper & packaging.

Tor Morne

Tor joined CDI Global in 1998. He specializes in cross border M & A transactions in the Marine- and the Oil & Gas service industry, factory automation, process control and instrumentation, and ICT. Tor worked with Permea Inc. as Executive Vice President and with Fisher Controls International Inc. as Vice President Planning and Business Development. He was Director for Business Development MEA with Emerson Process Management. Both Permea Inc. and Fisher Controls International Inc. are subsidiaries of the American chemical company, Monsanto Inc. From 1985 to 1990 Tor was Managing Director for Permea AS, ending as Exec. V.P. for Permea Inc. From 1980 to 1985 he was CFO at Ecco AS, a company producing systems and solutions for ships and oil and gas production.

Sander Smits van Oyen
