Experience & Qualifications

Dan has spent over 30 years as a global securities industry executive with UBS and its predecessor companies including Warburg Dillon Read, Swiss Bank Corporation, and O’Connor & Associates. He held various business development, merger and acquisition, and finance roles in New York, Chicago, London, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo.

He was Chief Operating Officer for China Equities, restructuring the equities related businesses of the former Beijing Securities and developing, from the ground-up. Dan has been a “China Hand” for 14 years, establishing and facilitating a number of new businesses through combinations of both organic and acquisition strategies, primarily in financial services, healthcare, technology, and other value-added service sectors.

He was the UBS Global Business Development Strategist for Equities (New York), where he either led or was a significant senior team member on numerous financial sector acquisitions on behalf of UBS, including Schwab Soundview Capital Markets, ABN AMRO Prime Brokerage and others. Dan held a number of other senior global roles, including: Global Strategist for Equities and Equities IT (London and New York); Business Manager in Global Equities Business Management (London); Equities Business Unit Controller (London, New York and Hong Kong) and Middle Office Manager for Equity Derivatives (Chicago and New York). Dan holds a B.S. in Finance and Accounting from Saint Louis University.
